iPhone 7 with a second speaker
With the next generation iPhone, iPhone 7, "almost" around the corner, everyone can expect a plethora of rumors coming from "reliable sources" up until the official announcement of the next-gen iPhone.
With that in mind, take the following rumor with a grain of salt.
According to analysts Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn, the iPhone 7 will replace its 3.5 mm headphone jack for another speaker. This could possible mean that the iPhone 7 will move from mono to stereo sound as other new smart phones have had since the past.
Since there has been a rumor already for the elimination of the headphone jack starting on the iPhone 7 and having the lightning port be used as the headphone jack using lightning connector headphones, this new rumor might not sound too far-fetched.
Let's just hope that another rumor surfaces about a new custom chip and/or hardware for the audio codecs to make the iPhone 7 an audiophile's dream.
